New Features

Web based setup

The ColorProof installer is now offered in two versions:

Web based setup: This is a very compact setup file. All required resources will be downloaded automatically from the GMG Cloud during the installation.
Full Setup: GMG will still offer a ZIP archive in the download area of the Support website for the installation on systems without internet connection.

We recommend the web based setup for all systems with an internet connection. Deactivate the ‘ColorProof App Data Package’ in the install shield. In this way, only the actively used database items will be loaded (see more detailed installation instructions here).

Automated paper feed adjustment for GMG media

ColorProof offers an automated paper feed adjustment.

Click the start button next to the name of the printer and a small test pattern will be printed and measured a few times by the integrated measuring device.

There are additional PSR proof standards available for the 10c print mode of the Epson SureColor LLK series.

Revised gamut files

ColorProof 5.10.2 contains revised gamut files for the following calibration sets:

The revised gamut files are applied when creating new custom profiles (MX4/MX5). The revised gamut files result in less optimization cycles during the profile creation.

GMG ColorProof GO – The new way of web proofing across sites
With the release of version 5.10.2, you will be able to register your GMG ColorProof systems in the GMG cloud to monitor the job processing from any browser. Tomorrow you will receive a SupportNews with detailed information about ColorProof GO.

End of Life

Please note, that we will no longer provide bug fixes, maintenance releases, workarounds, or patches for bugs found in 5.10.1.163 or older.
