Installation instructions
Create an environment backup of your existing configuration (version 5.9 or newer).
Fully close ColorProof, including the tray icon in the task bar.
Double-click the file WebSetup_CP_5.11.1.exe to run the setup.
Select the additional program features such as GMG ProfileEditor, GMG GamutViewer, or GMG Remote CaliWizard you want to install.
Start ColorProof after the installation wizard is closed.
ColorProof is now updated.
New Features
ColorProof GO gets interactive - with job and printer actions
So far, ColorProof GO has already enabled you to comfortably monitor your proofing systems and printers, and to keep track of your proof jobs from anywhere at anytime. Now, the browser based application offers you a simple remote job management as well.
Manage your jobs from anywhere at anytime
You can put a currently printing job on hold, start the printing, and delete proof jobs.
Manage your printers from anywhere at anytime
You are also able to remotely control your printers, for example, pause and restart a printer queue, select a different media type and size, or start an automated recalibration.
Software Upgrade Contract required for the use of ColorProof GO
With the latest ColorProof GO version, the beta phase is closed.
ColorProof GO will only be available for systems with a Software Upgrade Contract (SUC).
Calibration Check Upfront
With the new feature Calibration Check Upfront, the Automatic Calibration Scheduler is now able to decide without user interaction whether the printer needs to be recalibrated or not. This enables a fully automated printer calibration process.
The Calibration Check Upfront detects the calibration status of the printer with high accuracy and a recalibration is performed only if the result is above a user defined threshold. This feature saves valuable production time, ink, and media for unnecessary recalibrations.
The Calibration Check Upfront functionality is available if the following conditions apply:
Epson SureColor P or Epson Stylus Pro x900/x890 printer series
Integrated measuring device ILS30
GMG ProofControl Inline license.
PANTONE METALLICS Solid Coated
PANTONE released a new collection of metallic colors, combining previous versions of PANTONE Metallic coated and PANTONE PREMIUM METALLICS coated, plus additional 54 colors and a new Rose Gold base ink.
The new spot color set PANTONE METALLICS Solid Coated is available for all common printers and GMG ProofMedia supported in GMG ColorProof. Please refer to the manufacturers website to learn more about the new color collection.
Resolved issues
ColorProof 5.11.1.339 includes improvements that allow you to use your ColorProof even more efficiently. Users with a case-ID will be notified separately by the GMG support teams.
End of Life
Please note, that we will no longer provide bug fixes, maintenance releases, workarounds, or patches for bugs found in 5.11.0.159 or older.
