Register a New User

Thanks for checking out GMG ColorProof GO!

Follow the procedure below if you have already purchased GMG ColorProof with a maintenance plan and you now want to use GMG ColorProof GO for the first time or if you just want to add a new GMG ColorProof GO user.

The initial registration process requires the ability to receive e-mails. Please check your spam filter in case you do not receive the registration code.

Each person needs to register as a separate user, using a different e-mail address. If you are the first GMG ColorProof GO user in your company, please see How to register as the first GMG ColorProof GO user. If there is already a GMG ColorProof GO user, the easiest way is to ask an admin to send you an invitation to the system, please see Invite a New User by E-Mail. When receiving the invitation e-mail, you will still need to register as described in the following.

  1. If you received an invitation e-mail, click the Join ColorProof GO button in the e-mail. Otherwise, enter the following URL into the address bar of your browser:
    https://colorproof.gmgcolor.com
  2. Navigate to the Register page and enter a valid e-mail address and a password, and accept the Terms of Services.
  3. Click the Create Account button.

    A confirmation code will be sent to the e-mail address you have entered.
  4. Enter the code you received in the registration form of GMG ColorProof GO and click the Confirm button.

If you were invited to a GMG ColorProof system via e-mail, you will immediately see the jobs and printers of the system you were invited to.

If the job list remains empty, you will need to connect the GMG ColorProof program instance to the user account. In this case, please see How to grant a user permission to connect to GMG ColorProof.

After registration, copy the browser address and share it or save it as a bookmark.

Each person needs to register as a separate user.

  1. In GMG ColorProof, click the System button on the navigation panel on the left side.
  2. Click the ColorProof GO tabbed page.
  3. Under User Account, click the Start Pairing button.
    GMG ColorProof GO will be opened in your default browser.
  4. Navigate to the Register page and enter a valid e-mail address and a password, and accept the Terms of Services.
  5. Click the Create Account button.
    A confirmation code will be sent to the e-mail address you have entered.
  6. Enter the code you received in the registration form of GMG ColorProof GO and click the Confirm button.
    You will be redirected to the Proof Jobs view in GMG ColorProof GO.

If you completed the registration process including entering the confirmation code on the same computer, the new user will automatically have permission to connect to the GMG ColorProof instance from which you clicked the Start Pairing button (and only to this instance). In GMG ColorProof GO, you will immediately see the jobs and printers.

If the job list remains empty, you will need to connect the GMG ColorProof program instance to the user account.

After registration, copy the browser address and share it or save it as a bookmark.

If you cannot go through the whole process of registering and pairing on the same computer GMG ColorProof is installed, you can also register from another computer and then go back to GMG ColorProof to connect the registered user to GMG ColorProof.

  1. Enter the following URL into the address bar of your browser:

    https://colorproof.gmgcolor.com
  2. Navigate to the Register page and enter a valid e-mail address and a password, and accept the Terms of Services.
  3. Click the Create Account button.

    A confirmation code will be sent to the e-mail address you have entered.
  4. Enter the code you received in the registration form of GMG ColorProof GO and click the Confirm button.

You will be redirected to the Proof Jobs view in GMG ColorProof GO. The job list will be empty as long as you have not connected any GMG ColorProof program instance. The next step will be to connect your GMG ColorProof program instance to your user account.

You need to connect a GMG ColorProof program instance to a user account to grant this user permission to access GMG ColorProof. Follow this procedure if you already have a user account, but do not see jobs in GMG ColorProof GO.

The easiest way to grant a user access to a GMG ColorProof system is to invite the user via e-mail in GMG ColorProof GO, please see Invite a New User by E-Mail. However, you can also do this from GMG ColorProof as described in the following. (For the first user of a system, you will need to do it in GMG ColorProof.)

  1. In the GMG ColorProof program instance you want to connect, click the System button on the navigation panel on the left side.
  2. Click the ColorProof GO tabbed page.
  3. Make sure the Connect ColorProof option has a check mark.
  4. Under User Account, click the Start Pairing button.
    GMG ColorProof GO will be opened in your default browser.
  5. Log in with the e-mail address and password you entered during registration.

The GMG ColorProof program instance from which you clicked the Start Pairing button will be connected to the user account you used for the login.

In case you have multiple GMG ColorProof program instances, repeat the process from the computer the other instance is running.

In case you want to grant multiple users access to the same program instance, log the current user out from GMG ColorProof GO. Then, click the Start Pairing button in GMG ColorProof again. Either register a new user or log in an existing user to GMG ColorProof GO.
